Reseller portal & partner accounts
The reseller tier gives partners their own accounts and their own slice of NexoVirt: their customers, their servers and their plans, on the nodes and IP ranges you assign, within the quotas you set. Resellers work in their own reseller portal; their customers use the normal customer portal, under the reseller’s brand.
Setting up a reseller (admin)
Section titled “Setting up a reseller (admin)”Resellers are managed under Users → Resellers. Add reseller asks for a username and email and shows the generated password once. The reseller’s edit page has these tabs:
| Tab | What you set |
|---|---|
| Account | Active status and whether the reseller may edit their own branding (inherit, yes or locked). |
| Branding | The reseller’s brand name, logo, favicon and colors (needs white-label on your license). You can always edit it here, even when the reseller is locked out of it. |
| Customers | Assign existing customers that have no reseller yet, or unassign them. |
| Nodes | The nodes the reseller may create servers on. |
| IP zones | The IP zones the reseller’s servers may take addresses from. |
| Quota plan | A reseller plan with the limits below, and the current usage against it. |
| Actions | Reset password and Delete reseller (only after all customers are unassigned). |
On the list page, Resellers may edit their own branding by default sets the global default for the branding permission. A reseller plan or an individual reseller can override it.
Reseller plans and quotas
Section titled “Reseller plans and quotas”Settings → Reseller plans holds named quota bundles: Max customers, Max guests, Max cores, Max RAM (MB) and Max disk (GB) (0 means unlimited), plus a Branding self-edit setting. A reseller with no plan is unlimited. Limits are checked when a customer is added or assigned and when a server is created, in the portal and over the API.
Usage reports
Section titled “Usage reports”Users → Reseller usage shows the provisioned resources (customers, guests, cores, RAM, disk) per reseller and per customer, with Export all (CSV) and per-reseller CSV downloads. These are allocated resources, not traffic.
The reseller portal
Section titled “The reseller portal”A reseller logs in at the normal login page and lands in the reseller portal:
- Dashboard: customers, guests, cores and memory at a glance.
- Customers: add customers (within the quota), activate or deactivate them, manage their SSH keys, reset passwords (the customer gets an email) and delete customers that own no servers.
- Servers: create servers with the same wizard as the admin panel, limited to the assigned nodes, IP zones and plans, with Automatic placement across the assigned nodes. Each server has power actions, console, reinstall, IP change, snapshots, firewall rules, metrics and delete.
- Migrate: move a server to another of the reseller’s assigned nodes, with the same pre-flight checks as migration in the admin panel.
- Plans: the reseller’s own customer plans (vCPU, RAM, disk, traffic, runtime).
- IP pools: the assigned IP zones and which addresses are in use (read-only).
- API tokens: tokens for the reseller API (see below).
- Branding: shown only when the reseller may edit their branding.
- Security: two-factor authentication (TOTP with recovery codes) and password change.
Every server action checks that the server belongs to one of the reseller’s customers.
Reseller branding
Section titled “Reseller branding”A reseller with branding rights sets a Brand name, a Logo (light and dark), a Favicon (SVG) and Colours for light and dark mode, starting from a preset (Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Grape) with a live preview. Logos are SVG or PNG up to 512 KB.
The reseller’s customers see this brand in the customer portal after they log in, and the reseller sees it in their own portal. The login page itself always shows your instance brand. Reseller branding needs white-label on your license; see White-label & branding.
Reseller API
Section titled “Reseller API”Resellers automate within their scope through /api/reseller, with tokens from the portal’s API
tokens page (bearer token, optional Allowed IPs and Rate limit, shown once):
customers: list, create, update, delete, reset password, SSH keys.guests: list, create (withnode=autofor placement across the assigned nodes), show, delete, power, IP.plansandusage: read-only.
Admins manage resellers, reseller plans and assignments through /api/v1 with a normal admin token. See
the interactive REST API reference.
