Editions & licensing

NexoVirt is one product in two editions. Community Edition is free and self-hosted; Enterprise is following for larger fleets.

Free Self-hosted, up to 2 Proxmox nodes.

Community Edition is free and includes every feature of the panel: guests, consoles, metrics, networking, plans, the customer portal, alerting and the REST API. It manages up to 2 Proxmox nodes, with unlimited VMs and containers on them.

No registration or key is needed to install: the installer auto-provisions a free, unclaimed Community Edition license the first time it runs. Claim it whenever you like from Settings → Edition & license in the panel; see how the license works.

Enterprise is the paid tier for larger fleets. It lifts the node cap and adds white-label branding and priority support. Everything else works exactly as it does in Community Edition: same panel, same features.

Enterprise is coming soon, pricing will be announced then.

Install first, claim later, no key required up front:

  1. Install with no key. Run the installer with no NEXOVIRT_LICENSE set; it auto-provisions a free, unclaimed Community Edition license. See Installation.

  2. Claim it (optional, anytime). Open Settings → Edition & license in the panel: while unclaimed, a “Claim this install” card shows your key and a link to the claim page.

  3. Register and claim. At nexovirt.com/account/licenses/claim, sign in or create a free account, then paste the key. This ties the license to your account.

An Enterprise or existing key still works the traditional way: pass it with NEXOVIRT_LICENSE=<key> on install to skip provisioning and use that key from the start.
