Legal texts and order consent
Open Shop settings > Legal texts (or Customer portal > Legal texts while the shop is not switched on) to manage the legal pages your customers see. Sign-up, the order page, the storefront, order emails and the page footers all read from here.
The four documents
Section titled “The four documents”There is one tab each for Terms and conditions, Withdrawal policy, Privacy policy and Imprint. For each document choose:
- Not used: the document is not shown anywhere.
- Link to my website: enter the Link to the page on your website. Customers open it in a new tab.
- Own text: paste the Text (plain text, an empty line starts a new paragraph). It is shown on a page of your
panel at
/legal/terms,/legal/withdrawal,/legal/privacyor/legal/imprint.
Save stores it (with step-up confirmation). The badge on the card shows Not used, Link or Own text, with a View button.

Every change is a new version. Earlier versions lists them with date and author, and each can still be opened. Have your texts checked for your country: NexoVirt only shows them and records the consent.
Consent at checkout
Section titled “Consent at checkout”The tab Consent at checkout has one switch: Ask customers to confirm an immediate start. When it is on, the order page asks the customer to tick: “I want my server to be set up right away. I know that I lose my right of withdrawal once the service is fully provided.” Without it, EU consumers may withdraw within 14 days.
On the order page the customer must also tick the terms (with the withdrawal policy linked next to them) when those documents are in use. A balance order or a gateway checkout is refused without the consent.
Every order stores which version of each document the customer accepted, whether they confirmed the immediate start, the time and the IP address. You see it on the customer page, section Profile, in the table with Date, Product, Terms, Withdrawal policy, Immediate start and IP address.
Resellers
Section titled “Resellers”A reseller has its own Legal texts page in the reseller portal. Their customers see the reseller’s texts (on the order
page, in order emails and at the bottom of their portal), at /legal/r/<reseller id>/<document>.
